organic maple syrup chocolate cookies with a kick

You probably have all the ingredients in your pantry already...you DO have a bottle of Tree Heat, right?  Pre-heat your oven, throw on some Wu Tang and these spicy little gems will be done before you can say Cash Rules Everything Around Me!!

  • 6 Tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg, room temperature
  • 6 Tablespoons Tree Heat Spicy Maple
  • 1 Teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/3 cup AP flour
  • 1 Teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips

1.  Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees

2.  Using a stand mixer or egg beater, cream together the butter, sugars, and egg until very light and airy, about 5 mins.

3.  Add the Tree Heat and vanilla

4.  Add flour, salt, baking powder, and chocolate chips.  Stir well.

5.  Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, scoop dough into about 2 Tablespoon sized balls.  (I like to give them a little "pat" down before they go in the oven)

6.  Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until just starting to brown.

7.  Eat one before it's even had a chance to cool down like the animal you are!

8.  Impress your friends with your mad baking skillz!
